We opened Heights Cream in Alger Heights because we love our neighborhood and our city. And also because we love good ice cream.

We've owned and operated Alger Hardware and Rental for nearly 20 years. We've seen ice cream shops come and go in the building next door to us, and once Brass Ring Brewing moved in and made it their permanent home, we saw that there was a need for a full service ice cream shop in the community.

We cleared out a space in the front of our store and got to building, using contractors, painters, and craftspeople from right here in the neighborhood.

​Our goal is to provide our customers with delicious treats of the highest quality, all summer long.

OUR ICE CREAM IS LOCAL

We source our ice cream through Moo-Ville Creamery, a family owned and operated dairy headquartered in Nashville, MI. Their goal is to produce high quality milk products that are processed as little as possible. Believe us, you can taste the difference!

OUR CUTLERY IS SUSTAINABLE

Our cups, bowls, and cutlery are made from renewable materials and plant starches that will break down in the landfill. Our goal is to have the smallest possible negative impact on the environment.
